Meet the Maker

 
Maddie Jani is the owner and designer of Tanline Designs Jewelry. Born and raised in Santa Cruz- she always had a love for the beach and creating art from nature. She grew up dancing and now teaches dance, yoga, and pilates classes as she enjoys staying involved and engaged in her community. She developed this brand during college at UCSB, and what started as a passion project out of her dorm room, is now her full-time job! (What a dream!). She finds inspiration from strong local women and their stories and loves to incorporate durability and longevity into each of her pieces so that these women can wear art and feel beautiful while doing their various amazing work and hobbies. Handmade from start to finish, her pieces are sure to turn heads and create connections. She has a strong community following and hopes to just continue to grow the business as much as possible while giving back to her community through events and philanthropic contributions from order proceeds. (She loves donating proceeds to the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter and has even created fire relief funds for animals in Pasadena). She puts her love into every piece with high attention to detail and is always happy to chat about making customs from your special beach finds also!!
